It's a BOY!!!

Doc appt this morning went well. The ultrasound took about 45 minutes. The tech was trying so hard to get all the measurements she needed, and the baby was not cooperating! He had most of his body turned at an odd angle, so we're going to go back for another ultrasound in 4 weeks to get some better measurements. She said everything was looking great though! The heartbeat was 158 beats per minute. We even got to hear the heartbeat today! AMAZING!!! Throughout the ultrasound, she kept trying to see if the baby would cooperate and show us "the goods".... not so much. It wasn't until the very end that he finally gave her a "butt shot" and had his legs apart. She said she was 80% sure it was a boy. After another look, she smiled and said, "Ok, 90%". She said she will never say 100% because there is always room for error... but when you look at the pics, there is no mistaking it! :)

So there you have it.... Landon David Robert is expected August 14, 2010. We can't wait to meet him!!!

It's that time!!!

Today is the day.... 3 more hours until we get to baby Quimby again!! Hopefully he/she cooperates and we can find out who "they" are!!!

Future Basketball Player

I think the baby is going to be a baller!! I was coaching my girl's team this afternoon and the baby wouldn't sit still!! He/she wanted to be out there playing too!! I looked kinda funny wincing everytime the baby moved! My other coached asked if I was ok, I just responded: "the baby wants to sub in and play!!"

Future baller!!! YES!!!!! That makes me VERY HAPPY! Shaun, not so much! He is NOT a BBALL fan.. go figure! :)

5 days...

5 more days!!! I am getting excited (Shaun's getting scared!) about starting to finally put some things together in the house. We have bought hardly anything for the baby. Things we've bought: Medicine dropper (I had never seen anything like it so I got 2!), a monkey piggy bank, a monkey hanger rack, pacifier cases, waterproof labels, and a couple of RUSH outfits. I'm ready to start getting things for the nursery and making it actually "LOOK" like a baby will be joining us!!!

Baby-to-Be

Only one more week until we find out what our baby's name will be!! Shaun & I are so excited we can hardly stand it! Is it a boy?!?! Is it a girl?? We have picked out names for the little one. Kinsley Joelle will be our choice for a beautiful baby girl. Joelle is my sister's (Haylee) middle name. When my parents named her, I said if I ever have a little girl, her middle name will be Joelle. I always wanted a little sister (well, most of the time!!) and I loved her name. Landon David Robert is what we decided on if we have a strong, handsome young man. Robert is a "family" name in the Quimby family. All the men in the Quimby family share the middle name Robert. Robert is also my grandfather's name. David was my dad's name. I was only 6 when he passed away, but I was DEFINATLY a daddy's girl. We wanted to honor him as well as continue the Quimby tradition.


I am currently 19 weeks along, and things are going great! We are anxiously waiting for the time when Shaun can feel what I already feel inside me!! It is an amazing experience, and we are truly blessed.
